Does the International Bacceaularate diploma count in Canada?
sunday morning asked:
I am a Canadian citizen but I live in Italy and I go to an international school. I’m a freshman in high school now.
If I take the IB, does that get me into uni in Canada? Or can I just take the SAT’s?
Oh, and for the IB, there’s that first language thing that you do, what if you don’t have a best language??? Like I can only speak English. I’m learning French, Latin, and next year I’m switching schools and taking Italian beginners.

The bad news is that every university makes its own rules. The IB is recognized but it is not any kind of guarantee of admission. Have a second language will certainly be of help to you, especially is you are taking any kind of an Arts degree at university.
The IB is probably fine for entrance into a Canadian university. The SAT is not necessary.
Look at some of the admissions pages of university websites.
