what language do you learn in school? im from canada and we learn french. i was just wondering what other countries learn as a second language! in high school we have the choice to learn french, italian, or spanish!

    In my county we have the option to take latin, spanish, french, german, russian and chinese. But when the school year starts we only teach spanish, german and french.

    Here in Malta (Europe) we learn 2 languages: Maltese and English. Both are regarded as primary languages. In secondary school we’ve got the option to learn Italian, German, French, Spanish, Russian and Arabic. These are the options given to government school students.

    I attended a private school and options were limited. Italian was compulsory together with maltese and english, then we could choose between german and french as an additional language.
